El Teneguía from the GR-131Posted by taffer (sant boi de llobregat, Spain) on 9 October 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. That's it, the latest volcanic eruption registered in Spanish territory came out of that one in 1971. In fact, part of the area we were stepping on (called El Malpaís, literally the bad country or badlands) was a direct result of the lava sliding down the sides. Some of the volcano 'eggs' were shockingly big, I'm sure it had to be something really worth watching, if from a safe distance, of course ;) http://forestman.espacioblog.com/post/2007/10/26/teneguaaa-diario-un-volcaan
